MOTHER NURTURE: Matrescence Circle October: Finding Calm in Chaos - Navigating overwhelm
October’s focus: Finding Calm in the Chaos - Navigating Overwhelm
Come along in October as we delve into the essential skills for nurturing emotional balance and sensory well-being in motherhood. Learn how to stay present with yourself and your little ones during the most challenging moments of mothering. This workshop will provide you with personalised plan for your sensory wellbeing, with tools that can support the sensory system and new ways to minimise rupture and reduce overwhelm.
Mother Nurture circles are a place to build connections. With yourself & with other mothers. Each month we explore a different topic to educate, inform & empower you as you move through your matrescence. These circles are a blend of education, information (via workbooks & discussion) with embodied movement (yoga & somatic enquiry) along side space to integrate, adapt and grow to navigate your whole self.
MOTHER NURTURE: Matrescence Circle
Septembers focus: Mothers not Martyrs
Septembers’ Matrescence Circle we will explore the landscape of motherhood societal pressures, and the martyrdom trap many mothers find themselves in. Martyrdom in motherhood refers to the tendency of some mothers to sacrifice their own needs, well-being, and desires excessively for the sake of their children and families. It involves self-sacrifice to an extreme degree, often to the detriment of the mother's physical and mental health. Mothers who adopt a martyrdom mindset may feel compelled to prioritize their family's needs above all else, including their own self-care and personal fulfillment. This can lead to feelings of guilt, burnout, and an unbalanced family dynamic.
Discover ways to value yourself, explore the art of setting healthy boundaries, and learn practical ways to balance family life - where everyone's needs are respected. Let go of the guilt that often accompanies self-care and boundary-setting.
